Refund policy

When a refund is possible for your Awas Score payment, and how to ask for one.

Last updated: 30 September 2026

The short version

  • Your Awas Score is created as soon as you pay, so it can’t be refunded after that.
  • If your money was taken but the payment failed, you get it back in full.
  • If you were charged twice, the extra payment is refunded.
  • If we can’t give you your score because of a problem on our side, you get a full refund.

Why the Awas Score can’t be refunded

The Awas Score is a digital service. As soon as your payment is successful, we check your details against scheme rules and create your personal score and report. Because the service is delivered straight away, payments are not refundable once your score has been created.

Before you pay, please check that the details you enter are correct. You can explore schemes and read our eligibility guides for free first, to decide whether the full score is right for you.

When you will get a refund

1. Your payment failed, but money was taken

Sometimes money is debited from your account but the payment doesn’t go through, and no score is created. In this case, the amount is returned to you in full. Most banks and payment apps return it automatically within 5 to 7 working days. If it hasn’t come back after that, please contact us.

2. You were charged more than once

If the same Awas Score was charged twice by mistake, we refund every extra payment in full.

3. We couldn’t give you your score

If your payment was successful but a technical problem on our side stops us from creating your score, we will first try to fix it and give you your score. If we can’t, we refund your payment in full.

When we can’t give a refund

Once your score has been created, we can’t give a refund because:

  • You entered wrong or incomplete details.
  • You’re not happy with your score, or it was lower than you expected.
  • Your application to a scheme was rejected, delayed or not made.
  • A scheme changed its rules after your score was created.
  • You changed your mind, or paid by mistake for a score you then received.

Remember, your Awas Score is an estimate and not an approval. See our Terms of use for more.
